Homesa

UI/UX Design Dec 2025

Homesa is a real estate platform designed to create a more transparent and trustworthy experience for buying, selling, renting, and exploring residential and commercial properties.
The project focused on reducing friction across property discovery and transaction workflows through verified listings, structured browsing experiences, and expert-supported interactions within a unified digital platform.
The platform also introduced advanced filtering, guided property visits, personalized user profiles, and educational content to support more informed real estate decisions.

The Problem

Complexity & Trust Issues in Real Estate Transactions

Real estate transactions often involve uncertainty, fragmented communication, inefficient processes, and limited transparency for both buyers and sellers.
Users frequently struggle to verify property conditions, evaluate pricing fairness, coordinate property visits, and navigate complex transaction steps without reliable guidance. Sellers and landlords also face challenges in presenting listings professionally, attracting qualified users, and managing inquiries efficiently.
The lack of trustworthy property information, clear support systems, and structured discovery experiences increases friction and reduces confidence throughout the real estate journey.

The Project Goal

Creating a More Transparent Property Experience

The goal of the project was to design a more reliable and user-centered real estate platform that simplifies property discovery, improves transaction transparency, and reduces unnecessary intermediaries throughout the process.
The platform focused on supporting verified listings, clearer property presentation, guided transaction flows, and more efficient scheduling experiences while helping users make safer and more informed decisions.
Additional goals included improving listing discoverability, strengthening long-term trust through expert validation, and creating a more accessible experience across different property needs.

User Research

Research & Insights

Research focused on identifying friction points across property discovery, listing credibility, transaction coordination, and user trust within existing real estate platforms.
Key insights revealed recurring concerns around property verification, pricing transparency, inefficient search experiences, and the complexity of coordinating property visits and transactions.
Users also needed more trustworthy listing presentation, stronger filtering systems, clearer process guidance, and access to expert support throughout different stages of the property journey.
These observations informed the platform’s information architecture, discovery flows, property presentation system, and transaction-support experience.

“Real estate decisions become easier when users can trust both the information and the process behind it.”

The Design

Approach

The design approach focused on simplifying complex property workflows while creating a more transparent and trustworthy discovery and transaction experience.

Focus:

  1. Improving trust through verified property information, expert-supported workflows, and clearer listing presentation
  2. Reducing friction in property discovery through advanced filtering and structured browsing flows
  3. Supporting faster and more confident decision-making through simplified scheduling and guided transaction flows

Wireframing

Wireframes focused on structuring property discovery, listing exploration, visit scheduling, and account management into a more intuitive and manageable experience.
Special attention was given to content hierarchy, filtering behavior, property detail organization, and reducing complexity across browsing and transaction flows.

Low-Fidelity Exploration

Low-fidelity explorations were used to refine search patterns, listing interactions, property comparison flows, and scheduling behaviors before introducing detailed visual styling.
The focus remained on improving usability, simplifying navigation, and helping users access essential property information more efficiently.

“Trust in digital real estate platforms is built through clarity, transparency, and guided decision-making.”

Visual Refinement

The visual refinement phase focused on strengthening hierarchy, improving listing readability, and creating a cleaner and more trustworthy browsing experience across the platform.
Property galleries, listing cards, filtering systems, verification indicators, and scheduling components were refined to support faster scanning, clearer comprehension, and more confident interaction flows.

Final Prototype

Final prototypes refined interaction consistency, responsive behaviors, and transition flows across the property discovery and transaction experience.
Micro-interactions, filtering feedback, scheduling states, and account management flows were designed to create a smoother and more reliable user journey.

The Impact

Improving Transparency & Confidence in Property Discovery

The final design created a more structured and accessible real estate experience centered around trust, clarity, and simplified discovery workflows.
Users can browse verified properties, explore detailed listing information, schedule visits more efficiently, and manage their activity through personalized profiles within a unified platform experience.
The redesigned interaction flow also improved usability by reducing search friction, simplifying navigation, and supporting more informed real estate decisions across different user needs.

Reflections

This project explored how digital platforms can simplify traditionally complex real estate processes through clearer information architecture, guided interactions, and trust-centered user experiences.
